Phuket Buses

Phuket has long had buses all of which run from Phuket Town to various parts of the island. In 2018, a new bus service started which, for the first time,  connected the towns, villages and, more importantly for tourists, the resorts on the west side of the island. The service runs from the airport the whole of the way down the west side to Rawai.

The old buses are rather eccentric affairs more akin to cattle trucks than buses. The new bus service, however, is a rather smart vehicle equipped with air conditioning and wifi. The service has a name to match being called the "Phuket Smart Bus".
