Hua Hin is a rather large popular beach resort south of Bangkok on the Gulf of Thailand. It is popular with tourists and especially with Thais from Bangkok. It is also famous as a retreat for the Thai Royal Family. There is however, another Hua Hin which is virtually unknown and is the name of a beach on the Andaman coast in Trang province. Trang is a much less visited area of Thailand and the chances are you will have the beach to yourself although it has to be said that the beach is not of the same quality as many Thai beaches that are famous for coconut palms , white sand and clear,blue waters. Nevertheless it is an interesting place to visit as the scenery is spectacular.
